The covariant density functional theory (CDFT) has been successfully applied to lots of nuclear phenomena not only in stable nuclei but also in exotic nuclei. Using the relativistic continuum Hartree-Bogoliubov theory with the density functional PC-PK1, the first mass table including the continuum has been constructed, where the neutron drip-line nuclei are extended compared with other mass models due to the continuum couplings.

After the mass table with spherical symmetry including continuum, now is the right time to construct an upgraded version of the mass table including deformation and continuum by using the up-to-date DRHBc theory, i.e., the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum.

This series of workshops is devoted to the recent progresses on the mass table by the DRHBc theory. The first workshop of this series was held on Dec. 4 to 8, 2018 in Daejeon and Seoul, South Korea, hosted by Institute for Basic Science (IBS), South Korea and Soongsil University, with more than 30 participants. Since then, the DRHBc Mass Table Collaboration was established.

The 2nd workshop was held in Peking University (Beijing, China) from Aug. 22 to 23, 2019 with about 50 participants. In this workshop, many participants from new institutes joined the project and established research networks for the future collaborations. http://indico1.pku.edu.cn/event/12/

The 3rd workshop was held in Pusan National University (Pusan, Korea) from Aug. 26 to 28, 2020 with more than 30 participants. https://indico.ibs.re.kr/event/329/

The 4th workshop will be held online and offline from Dec. 16 to 18, 2021. The on-site conference will be held in Peking University (China) and Hoseo University (Korea). The main purpose of this workshop is to summarize the results for even-even nuclei and to initiate the calculations for odd nuclei.

The main topics focused include:
- Overview of the DRHBc calculations for even-even nuclei;
- DRHBc calculations for odd-A and o-o nuclei;
- Progress Reports from PIs for different regions;
- Interesting topics of even-even DRHBc mass table;
- Future working plan towards a complete DRHBc mass table;
- …
